Sounds good. I can imagine that as well as the in game customisation there will be replayability using self-imposed 'ironman' rules. For instance winning with a team only using players <90Kg (or maybe everyone >110 Kg) or winning with a team made only of players from one country, or group of countries (e.g. Pacific Islands or something) or only recruiting players through a particular channel. I did a bit of this in RD, but a single player game obviously has the benefit that you can try something on a much more compressed time-scale.

I like the idea of having a team comprised of players from only one country - that would be a cool thing to try to do.

How big will the default squad size be? I've played a lot of "managing" games in the past and one thing I noticed was, while I was getting stronger, the other teams were getting weaker. Will the AI be intelligent enough to realise he needs to buy a few players to strengthen his squad, replace the older guys or change his strategy etc? It would be nice if the teams also keep improving like we do, it would make for a real challenge. Together with the league you might think about adding a knockout cup? I'm sure it will be a real challenge to win the double. Just a few things that I have thought about while counting the hours down LOL.

The default squad size is 30, I think.

The AI is not static and will always look to improve their teams and will make full use of all
the avenues availabe to human managers. They will change strategies too.

We won't be adding anything new to the game at this late stage. Always a possibilty for the
      future though.

The next testing version released will have a playercard which displays training rates. This expands the height of the player card which allows the UI controls with scroll bars to be bigger and easier to use.

Wasn't sure where to post this so I've put it here.

Did anyone watch the 6N match between England and Italy yesterday? I can understand how the Italian tactic of not competing following a tackle, would cause confusion as nobody would be expecting them to do that.

However it's a basic rule that school kids are taught, it takes a minimum of 2 players from each side to form a ruck, the player who had the ball, the tackler, plus one other from each side to create the ruck.

In GRM it's very simple, if an opposition player doesn't get to the tackle situation in time to make it a ruck, then the player in the scrum-half position picks up the ball and runs through the middle...simples!!!

Obviously GRM is ahead of the curve!

I don't think those real players will ever be able to fend like in GRM though

While he's not a rugby player, Greg Inglis can fend with among the best in GRM.
